What is a Direct Deposit?

Direct Deposit refers to the transfer of money between any two Australian bank accounts. It is also known as "Bank Transfer", "Money Transfer", "Pay Anyone" etc depending on your financial institution.

Why would I make a Direct Deposit?

You would make a direct deposit payment if you either don't have a credit card or prefer not to use one. We certainly recommend this as the easiest way to shop with us. The amount you deposit, including any bonus credit you are eligible for, will be available as your online deposit balance (to buy phone cards from World Cards website).

Can I transfer money for more than one card so that I can make multiple purchases over time?

You certainly can and we recommend this as the most convenient way to shop with us (see previous). For example, if you transfer $100, we will post $100 (+ any bonus $ we may offer) to your account. You can use this deposit balance for purchases on our site. You can always view your remaining deposit balance on the top right corner of every page on our website.

How long is my deposit balance available for?

There is no limit on this. It is yours to use whenever you choose.

How much money can I transfer?

You can transfer minimum $50 up to $1,000 at a time. Please note that your maximum allowed deposit balance with us is $1,500.

How soon will deposited funds show up on my World Cards account?

We endeavour to credit your account within 1-2 hours after receiving your email with the direct deposit receipt details. When you send us the email with the receipt, please make sure you specify your World Cards username and amount you deposited into our bank account. You must put your Worldcards Username as the transaction reference so that we know where the money came from.
Please be aware that even though we credit your account as soon as we get your email with the direct deposit receipt details, it usually takes 1-2 business days for the transaction to show up in our bank account. As such, in some cases, we may wait for 1-2 business days for the transaction to show up in our bank account before crediting your account.

How will I know when my deposit balance has been updated with my most recent direct deposit?

You will receive an email notification from us when we credit your account. Also, when you login to World Cards website, you will see your current deposit balance on the top right corner. When you make a new purchase, the order total will be automatically deducted from this deposit balance.

Can I get a refund of my Deposit Balance?

Yes, you can get a full or part refund of your direct deposit amount. You can request a refund via email to This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it with your World Cards username and refund amount.

Please note that you cannot get refund of any bonus amount that we may have given you as part of any ongoing promotion. Any bonus amount you may have received from us must be spent buying phone cards from World Cards.
